Description

An isolated hill in the center of the Wadi Raharmellen. The site includes numerous pecked Tifinagh inscriptions grouped into seventeen panels on eight surfaces, located on the hill wall and surrounding boulders. The sole figurative motif is a camel, pecked on the vertical surface of one of the boulders facing the hill (Surface 2 – Panel 5). Some of the Tifinagh inscriptions are inscribed in straight pecked lines (Surfaces 2 – Panel 2 and 4) or a sandal-shaped pecked line (Surface 5 – Panel 1). Among the inscriptions, the term “TGMYT” was recognized (Tagamayet for a “place where there is some couch grass”, Biagetti et al. 2015: 16).
