Description

An isolated boulder along the Wadi Taluaut. It is part of a cluster of sites located on the massif’s eastern edge, probably along a caravan route (Site IDs 280-290) that ran near a traditional well. The boulder is highly damaged by erosion and numerous cracks induced by thermoclastic processes. Furthermore, a major fixture divided the boulder in two parts, both including petroglyphs on the vertical surfaces facing the wadi. The left part shows a few barely recognizable zoomorphic figures, possibly including a giraffe at the center. The right part includes a few pecked Tifinagh characters.
