Description

A rock shelter located on the left bank of Wadi Ti-n-Torha, a small wadi in the Awis area. The site is one of the shelters forming a sort of amphitheater together with Ti-n-Torha North (Site ID 128) and Ti-n-Torha East (Site ID 129). The back wall contains a palimpsest of petroglyphs and paintings which is no longer fully visible but seems to be a portion of a larger and more complex panel. Two deeply carved large ichthyomorphic figures are clearly identifiable although covered by a couple of painted red cattle. To the left of these, some red traces of paint are no longer decipherable.
